In 2005, he left private practice for an in house counsel position with a major real estate and timber development company based in New York State. In 2009, he reestablished his practice in Tupper Lake, New York and represents clients throughout New York state on a variety of matters.  Representative clients have included Fortune Top 20 clients, as well as small businesses and private individuals.

His practice focuses on general business law, contracts and business formation; real estate, tax and timber law; estate planning, Adirondack Park Agency and zoning law and General Practice.  An Adirondack native, Kirk has an office in Tupper Lake, New York.

“I understand a client’s need to have matters handled promptly, efficiently and without mistake.  Clients want their problems solved and their cases handled with professionalism and experience.  That is what I do.  I return phone calls and emails and attend to my client’s needs.  There are many lawyers out there.  I try to be the best for each of my clients and give them the time and attention they deserve.

People and corporations come to me seeking creative and cost effective ways to set up, open and run their businesses, and to help make them grow.  In some instances they need help to correct issues when matters have gone wrong.  I work with estate planning clients who have very important decisions to make and help them understand the legal framework that surrounds their decisions so that they can accomplish their goals.  I enjoy making a difference for my clients.”

As former in house counsel of a New York based real estate corporation, Kirk was involved in the acquisition, planning and all legal matters related to subdivisions in New York, Montana and Colorado.  He has implemented the required legal services in private and corporate practice for well over 75 subdivisions, from two lot subdivisions to over 25,000 acre subdivisions, and was co-owner of a title company where he directly underwrote title insurance for residential and commercial transactions.
